I secretly long for the day when my hair is long enough that I can just throw it in a bun on top of my head. That is pretty much the only thing I miss about long hair, and my only reason for growing it out again.
I find it slightly comical that it's the style now to wear you hair up like this, since in my high school lacrosse days this is pretty much the only thing I did with my hair. And I'm 99% positive it wasn't the style then.
